was put on hold while you continue to develop Tavern Tycoon. Someone from your team or community staff or whatever their title was said that development of D.U.S.T. Updates have completely stopped on both, and communication is near nonexistent. If development was slowed on one or both because you decided to juggle developing 2 games, both released for a price and on a major platform, this would be enough to cause some anger. Many of your customers are saying you never should have released a second game while the first was so early in development. With that kind of financial gain, combined with the lack of development progress, heck, even the lack of communication with your customer base, people are very upset, and they have every right to be. Just keep in touch with us is my point!!!This^īetween the 2 games which you, Peter, have put into Steam's Early Access platform, you have made quite a bit of money, that amount being much more substantial considering you are working mostly alone and do not have many of the costs associated with games that have a publisher, are available on console, released to retail markets, etc. Communication is key, especially when development is slow-going. It could just be a status update, as in what parts of the up-coming update are finished and what is still being worked on (not ready) yet for release. it doesn't have to be a game update, because I agree with you as do most other players, we'd rather it be done right and be fun & enjoyable rather than be done soon and not work well or have poor/unfixable optimization. Most people don't mind waiting for a quality product.Ī small News posting once or twice a month might really help the community. This is where communication from the Dev becomes key, it shows us they are still active and working on the game (at whatever pace is required). That's not always the case, but it may put off a lot of people from purchasing an Early Access game when the forums are quiet and the updates are sparse. Communication is key, especially when development is slow-going.Īs others have mentioned, extended periods with no activity from the Dev indicates a dead/dying game.
